Vaughan joined the club at the start of the 2011 season and instantly marked his arrival with an unbeaten 58 at home to old rivals Kings. This bought about cries of "Ringer!" from the opposition, a fact that Pyestock found it hard to refute as it was Vaughan's debut for the club. It was never meant to be a one-off appearance however, and Vaughan became instantly popular and successful within the ranks with impressive performances with bat, ball and wicket-keepers gloves, proving that the club has another true all-rounder on the field.
