Norrie Short - 50 Not Out

(January 20, 2014)

Saturday 18th January saw Mr Pyestock formally recognised for the amazing 50 year playing association with the club.

In front of current and former players representing 4 decades of the clubs history, as well as friends made from Peper Harow CC and Weybourne CC, Norrie Short was presented with a Silver Salver commemorating his unique achievement, as well as autographed bats and an embroidered team shirt to mark the occasion.

It was also announced by Secretary Paul Heath that with permission, the new Pyestock Cricket Club trophy that will be presented to the "Players, Player of the Season" on an annual basis shall be named "The Norrie Short Players Player of the Year Trophy" in eternal recognition to the time, effort and commitment he has made to the cricket club.

Upon receiving his mementoes to raptuous applause, Norrie, with his own comic genius commented that "you would think in 50 years he would have found something better to do" before thanking everyone past and present within the club for making his time so special.

Well, thank you Norrie, and here is to the next 50 years!
