Club NewsVice Captain Change(November 11, 2013)Following Pyestock CC's Annual General Meeting, it has been confirmed that Vice-Captain Chris McGovern has stood down from the role after 3 seasons. Since stepping into the role at the start of the 2011 season, Chris oversaw 6 fixtures, masterminding victories over Eversley and Deando-Ruxley in 2012 as well as The Bourne in 2013. 2 defeats and 1 abandoned fixture completes the resumé as after an away defeat to Harpsden in June 2013 Chris decided to allow other members of the side the experience of captaining when the opportunity arose and Captain Neil Butler was unavailable. Pyestock Cricket Club thanks Chris for all his efforts and looks forward to a watching a successful 2014 season from Chris in a wholly playing capacity. |
