6000 and Counting For Record Breaking Paul Heath!

(August 15, 2012)

A major milestone was achieved last Sunday while most were chewing their nails to the bone in the 1 wicket win over Bagshot.

Club Secretary Paul Heath became the first and obviously only player in Pyestock history to pass 6,000 career runs for the side.

The historical moment came with the fourth ball of the 28th over (bowled by J.Atkinson)that Paul hit for 4 to move himself onto 19 not out and Pyestock onto 90 for 7.

Paul has now scored 6,028 runs since debuting in 1988 and remains a huge 471 runs ahead of nearest challenger Colin Butler who is 2nd with 5,557 runs.

Everybody at Pyestock Cricket Club congratulates Paul on this achievement!
