2012 Fixture Round Up

(December 02, 2011)

The 2012 Fixture List is nearly complete, so here is a little guide, of where we are going, who's coming to us, and generally whats in store as the season progresses.

April

The only match scheduled for April see's a trip to Shedfield who were unfortunately unable to fulfill our fixture in 2011. Hopefully no repeat this time as we make the comparitively long trip to just outside Southampton. This will be the first time we have scheduled an away trip first up since we visited Crondall in 2003.

May

May follows a familiar trend with visits from old adversaries Concorde and Kings to get our home campaign underway. Hook and Southborough are warmly welcomed for a 2nd visit following the success of last year. An away trip to Shalford rounds the month off with Pyestock looking to avenge last seasons embarrassing defeat.

June

June kicks off with a notable change to a very long lasting fixture, with a visit to Hawley. Traditionally this has taken place in late August, however it was felt all round that moving the fixture away from the return and also into more sunnier times would benefit all. The usual trip to Old Woking and visit from favourites Warfield proceed a tricky new away tie at Eversley.

July

Everyone loves away day at Peper Harow, so much so we went twice last year. Hopefully another scorching day and great win will mirror last years first attempt. A new name will then visit Cody Sports and Social Club in the name of Bramley CC in what is hoped will blossom into a regular friendly fixture. Godalming away should then follow although confirmation is still required here, before our annual trip to Badshot Lea will bring back happy memories for captain Neil Butler, who will be keen to repeat the record breaking success he encountered 12 months earlier. The month will be rounded off with a new fixture, yet to be confirmed.

August

August starts with a return visit from Deando-Ruxley who provided one of Pyestock's closest games of 2011 with a draw being secured off of the final ball. Bagshot at home and Bedhampton Mariners away provide a familiar look to the month, with a new bank holiday fixture yet to be confirmed.

September

The main news in September is the visit to Porchfield on the Isle of Wight, which has been shifted from June to the middle of the month. This replaces the home fixture with Badshot Lea which has been dropped for this season. otherwise it is "as you were" with home visits from Old Woking, Hawley and the season finale with Peper Harow rounding off what is hoped to be another enjoyable and exciting season for Pyestock CC.
