Chris McGovern

Chris joined the club from Aldershot in 2007 and took a little while to settle, however now adds undoubted quality to the team, regular performer with the bat with memorable performances including a mesmerising century in the heat at Long Ditton in 2017. Also an excellent fielder who always finds himself at the top end of the catching charts at the end of the campaign. Chris is an important part of the banter on and off the pitch, with his ability to unsettle opposition batsmen with a combination of baffling comments, and a cheeky grin that goes with friendly cricket! Went AWOL in 2019 and 2020 with only a brief sub appearance in the field, but we hope to see more of Chris in 2021.
