Ben Armes

Ben initially came to the club as a fill-in during an availability crisis at Ripley CC in the 2017 season, and despite the crushing defeat, seemed to enjoy the spirit of the side and became a regular for the second half of the season. Now one half of the comedy double act that is the Armes twins, Bens transformation from promising youngster to genuine talent was astonishing, as a phenomenal breakthrough 2022 season saw 970 runs bludgeoned at the top of the order, lifting his career average from 17 to over 30 in the space of a single season. 2023 saw no slowing down of the youngster as 3 further centuries were recorded and was only prevented from winning the Alan Butler Batting Trophy by a retirement. Ben will hope to put this right for 2024.
